Meet Miracle Child, Max Crouse
Max was born in March 2006 with Right Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, which to date, has required three open heart surgeries. Max's first surgery was when he was four days old, on March 17, 2006. He then had a second surgery when he was six months old, which was followed by his third and most challenging surgery when he was 2.5 years old.
Today, Max is an active, healthy boy and is closely monitored by doctors at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. He continues to take lots of heart medications to keep him running. A pacemaker may be required in the future, but today he enjoys swimming, flag football, and playing outside with his little brother. Max is looking forward to interacting with the 5k and Fun Walk participants again on race day!
Many of the pieces of specialized pediatric equipment used to treat children like Max are provided by the Children's Miracle Network. Your donation to CMN truly does help to make miracles happen!
